I was inspired to do this post because tonight it is storming like crazy in my little shoreline town! I was sitting outside just as the storm was starting and before long there was lightning, the kind that lights up the sky like it's daytime. Then along came the thunder, at first quiet rumbles, but soon startlingly loud cracks accompanied by fat drops of rain that had me rushing back inside.
Now, I usually don't mind storms as long as the power doesn't go out. I used to find it kind of fun when we would lose power in a big storm, especially one particular storm that left us without power for almost 3 days...my brother borrowed a hot plate from the restaurant where he works and we all hunkered down and had soup and hot chocolate/coffee and played scrabble and read by candle light:) The reason I dislike the power going out now is that I have a six yr. old daughter who becomes very restless and frustrated whenever it happens.
Now I'll come to my question for anyone reading this: What do you think of storms? Do you find them, exciting or scary or do you really not care either way?
I'm looking forward to reading any comments and also planning to blog much more in the future...I'm thinking I'll include some everyday life posts, fashion and makeup posts, food posts, and hopefully some that incorporate my love for reading,writing and art:)
The thunder is quieting down for now and I think its about time to settle into my comfy PINK pants and read my most recent acquisition from the library:)
